Tyler Tisue's Bio

Tyler   Tyler Tisue started deer hunting with his father when he was 14 years old. He took his first buck with his dad right next to him in the stand. It was a real nice 8 pointer that trophy dreams were made of to a young hunter. It was that primal instinct of thrill and excitement that drove him to want to understand how to become a better, quality deer hunter.

Years later this led Tyler to take a semester off college to pursue his dreams of living the outdoors
and he became a whitetail guide for an outfitter. While guiding he would have up to 4 hunters a week and as many guides telling him on a daily basis what was happening in the deer woods. Because of this Tyler believed that in one year guiding you could learn what you normally would in four years hunting by yourself. Tyler wasn’t just a guide for the knowledge, it was the opportunity of being in the woods, meeting new hunters, and especially getting those hunters the opportunities of a lifetime at some monster deer and the enjoyment of it all afterwards. That’s the type of guy Tyler is, someone who just truly enjoys that hunter comradery that only hunters know and the bonds that are made between them. Tyler has also guided himself to quite a few monster deer having taken 10 deer over 150” including a 185” double droptine that hunters dream about.

Because he has been so fortunate to have taken so many great deer Tyler now goes into each season with very high expectations and if the opportunity doesn’t come than he will gladly eat his tag. Even though he is being filmed now he simply will not lower his expectations just to get something killed on film like so many other hunting productions. That’s why when Tyler met Todd Pringnitz of White Knuckle Productions he was interested in working with them because they try to show not just kills but everything that really happens to hardcore hunters during the course of a season whether it be a kill, a close encounter, or days of seeing nothing.

Of course Tyler isn’t the only one who goes through hunting season every year he also has a better half who lucky enough is there to support him through it. That’s his lovely wife Christina. She has supported him throughout every hunting season they have been through together. She knows when the weather changes or the rut comes around that Tyler will be out chasing big bucks. If only we were all so lucky to have such a great wife.

Todd’s Comments
I first met Tyler at the 2006 Iowa Deer Classic. Shortly after, we were pursuing properties, big bucks, and opportunities together like brothers from a different mother. Tyler is a no-bs type of guy who will tell you what he feels without hesitation. This is something that initially drove me nuts about Tyler, but I’ve since learned to appreciate his direct attitude and lack of hesitation. His aggressive personality and hard-core tactics have proven themselves in the field for Tyler. He has killed some giant bucks, and is willing to let the immature deer walk and eat a tag before compromising his own standards. Tyler knows what it takes to kill big deer, and his detail-oriented approach is something that any hunter can learn from. If you ever have the opportunity to film Tyler, make sure you bring a couple extra straps along – the guy loves BIG trees….
