Lisa Ripka’s Bio |
 |
|
Every Saturday since Lisa was in diapers, her Father took her to work with him on a golf course in Belding, Michigan. It was there that she was first introduced to all the critters the Michigan woods had to offer. The father/daughter pair arrived early morning to turkeys leaving roost, whitetails drinking at the ponds, and geese flying overhead. Lisa’s father had a trap line which during each daily check she learned scat, tracks, and various animal sign. It wasn’t long before her father figured out |

that Lisa loved the outdoors and allowed her to tag along on all his many hunting trips whether it was pheasant or whitetail hunting.
Lisa bought her first bow at the age of 12 shortly after taking hunter safety. Several years passed without much interest in hunting; that was until Lisa met Bruce. On one of their first dates, Bruce had Lisa shoot his muzzleloader and after the smoke cleared her smile revealed she was hooked. Bruce turned down his old compound bow for her and she practiced all summer. On opening day of archery season in Ionia, Michigan; Lisa had the opportunity to harvest her first buck – a seven pointer! Since then it is a rare day to find Bruce in the woods without his hunting partner by his side.
Todd’s Comments
One of the first times I ever met Lisa was when we were shooing bows at the old house. My first impression of Lisa was that she was smokin! And I’m not talking about her looks (even though she is a very attractive woman). She would routinely embarrass the best shooters at our Wednesday night shooting league, and this trend continues to this day! I think the coolest thing about Bruce and Lisa’s relationship is that Bruce gets more excited talking about Lisa’s previous hunts than his own! Talk about a dream woman! While Lisa enjoys hunting with Bruce, it’s her relationship with a certain neighbor that is probably the most “special” aspect of this girl. She loves herself a good Jeep ride! |
